Do You Know…

    • In 2016, Suicide was the tenth leading cause of death overall in the United States, claiming the lives of nearly 45,000 people.*
    • Suicide was the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34, and the fourth leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 35 and 54.*
    • During the 17-year period from 1999-2016 the total suicide rate increased 28%*
    • Although in recent years the greatest suicide rate increase is among individuals between the ages of 15-24, the highest rate is among individuals between the ages of 45 and 54**

What You Can Do…

Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

QPR is a training for every-day citizens to become “Gatekeepers.” Participants need no other clinical training or education.

Would you like to be a QPR Gatekeeper?

Chester County’s Suicide Prevention Task Force (CCSP) will be offering this 2-hour QPR Gatekeeper training at no cost to participants.

Monday, June 25th, 6:30 PM at
