St Matthew’s United Church of ChristIs Hosting A Meeting With Barbara QuinterThis is an opportunity to learn more about the early history of our church and the Stauffer family that attended our church August 28, 20173:00 pm in the Rose RoomBarbara Quinter has done extensive research on her ancestors, the John Stauffer Family, who purchased farmland at an Auction in 1803. This farm is located on St. Matthew’s Road and is now part of the Bryn Coed Natural Land Trust. She recently wrote an article for the West Vincent Township Newsletter. This meeting will include representatives from West Vincent Township Historical Resource Committee, Rev. Jay Meier who gathered history of St. Matthew’s UCC while serving as our interim minister, and representatives from our current families who have grown up in the church. This will be an open exchange of information and history to be shared by all in attendance. Please come with whatever information you can gather to share with the group. We are the stewards of our church’s history and this is an opportunity to expand our knowledge about our past to share with future generations. |
